Solidarité Vanuatu is an association whose aim is to promote emergency and development efforts in Vanuatu following the passage of cyclone PAM.
We work closely with the Alliance Française in Vanuatu that relay our action with NGOs and local associations.
Objective: fundraising to help victims of the cyclone PAM in Vanuatu.
We are a group of about twenty friends, from various occupations, living everywhere in France. We all lived in Vanuatu a few years ago and fell in love with this country. Its destruction within hours by PAM cyclone was a terrible shock for all of us. We kept many contacts with ni-Vanuatu firends and french people living there. Since the terrible passage of the "monster", we are in direct contact with these people in Port Vila, which since the cyclone are doing their best to help the people currently in a critical situation (distribution of food, street cleaning, repairing houses)
We are also in direct contact with Mr Georges Cumbo, director of the Alliance Française in Port Vila. The funds we collect will be directly transferred to the account of the Alliance Française. Donations will be used to support the action of the Vanuatu National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and local NGOs such as the Red Cross and for direct actions (purchase of non-perishable food, school equipment, assistance to communities .. .). They will support emergency actions, but also actions in the medium and long term.
Mr. Cumbo is installed and runs the Alliance for over 20 years, he knows the country very well, its operation and has worked for all these years that all actions within the Alliance directly benefit locals. We want to work with the Alliance Française in whom we have great confidence. We know it does and will make the right choices at the right times to help the country recover.
This site will allow donors to follow our action.
Thank you for your confidence and participation.
